About a week ago I took Laura to get her glucose test which took approximately an hour. Basically, Laura had to drink a bottle of this "fruit punch" flavored syrup after an hour she gets her blood drawn and a week later we get the results back. Apparently, the syrup does not taste very well (according to the photos).
Well this past Friday, the doctor told us that we failed the test! Therefore, this week we are going to have to go back for the 3-hour test! It is going to be painful, since she will have to get her blood drawn 5 different times. Hopefully we pass the 3-hour test or else Laura will have to go see a dietitian.
On a different note, during the pregnancy Laura hasn't had any major cravings. However, recently she's been wanting a lot of ice chips! Her favorite ice chips are from Sonic.

5 Year Anniversary
Laura,
I wanted to wish you a Happy 5-Year Anniversary! We have been through so much together and it means a lot to me. During the ups, downs, sad days, happy times that I have experience, you were always there by my side. You stood by me when I thought I didn't have anybody's support. At times when I wanted to give up, you were the person who pushed me to go on way pass my comfort zone. You mean the world to me and I can't imagine my life without you. This anniversary will be different among the rest since we are going to have a beautiful son together. From this point on, we are going to be a complete family. Things may be challenging at times since this is new to the both of us, but I know we will be able to surpass any obstacles which may try to slow us down. You are my friend, lover, and soul mate...my love for you only increases more and more each year. You have given the most beautiful gift in the world and I thank you for it. I love you with all my heart.

3.3!
Today Laura had an OBGYN appointment, however it was not just any appointment because it now marks the date when we begin to go in for check-ups every two weeks. The doctor stated everything is on track and the delivery date as of now is still going to be August 21st. The doctor said the baby currently weights 3 pounds, 3 ounces...oh and he also mentioned our baby has a big head. Thanks Doc!
Tomorrow will be an exciting day, Laura is going to take her pregnancy photos. Hopefully it isn't too hot, the weather has been in the 95 - 100 degree range! I think we are taking photos outside, luckily its scheduled for 8 am.

Wonderful Week...
Within the past week, Laura and I drove to visit my immediate family at South Carolina! That was a total drive of 16 hours one way. We sure added some miles to Laura's new Honda CR-V (we figured she needed a better family car). Well, the main purpose of taking the trip to SC was to see my brother, Brian, and cousin, Aimi, graduate from High School. I am very proud of Brian and all of his accomplishments, he graduated with Magna Cum Laude and tons of cords. Laura and I stayed at my father's home and got to know his wife, Mi, and son, Andy. I also spent sometime with my mom and visited her new store, T's Mini Asian Market.
Everyone seemed excited to see Laura and I especially with the pregnancy. My mom said she would come the month after the baby is born and host a Vietnamese baby shower. My dad and his family stated they would come visit after the baby is born as well. I hope they can stay a while since we will need all the help we can get! Laura is now 29 weeks and we are counting down. We have a OBGYN appointment this Friday, I'll keep everyone updated on the status of the pregnancy.
