Why Blog?

There are various reasons why we both have chosen to blog about our life together.  We both have realized tomorrow is never promised.  Phan knows how it feels to have someone close to him pass away.  Phan lost a good friend, Logan Ashley MacDonald, in 2005 in a vehicle accident fatality.  Laura is juggling a lot of different things in her life which includes her father being diagnosed with a terminal illness; Doctor's have given him less than a year to live.  Also, as most of our family and friends already know, we will have a new addition to our family in late August, 2011.  We wanted share our progress with everyone including our baby when he/she grows older.


We both know life is too short to take for granted and with our blog we will never forget the memories we have shared. Phan feels with his job, as careful as he is, there is always the unknown.  He plans on coming home everyday to our family but there is always the "what if's?"

In addition, Laura read a blog about a mother, Kellie Grein Staats, and the recent passing away of her 4 month old daughter, Madison Paige Staats. We both encourage everyone to take time and read Kellie's blog, it definitely touched both of our hearts. Kellie, if you are reading this, we wanted to let you know you have inspired us to generate and keep up with this blog not only for our family and friends but also for Laura, myself, and our baby.  The future is unknown, but perhaps our blog will be just as inspirational for others as much as your blog has been for us.   Thank you.
