Laura and I have always wanted to see Anjelah perform her act live, so about a month ago, we discovered she would be performing today at the University of Texas at Arlington, however seats were limited to 750 seats and students and faculty/staff/alumni were allowed to purchase them first.
Well, I put in to take April 19th off from work approximately a month prior and got approved, so Laura and I were really excited. However, when it was time for the general public to purchase tickets, all the tickets were all sold out! Laura and I were really upset because it is not often one of our favorite celebrities comes and performs literally down the street from us. I knew Laura was sad but she tried to hide her feelings. She's had a rough year with her father suffering through his illness, being 6 months pregnant, and keeping up with her school work. It seemed as if everything was harder than ever, we couldn't even go to one show that we had planned for a month in advance. I just wanted to see my woman happy...because if momma isn't happy then nobody's happy.
So I took a chance and found Anjelah's facebook page and personally messaged her today at about 9:00 am. I'd rather not say what was written in the email because it was personal. However it was between myself, Laura, Anjelah, and God. Well, at approximately 4:00 pm today I received a personal reply from Anjelah who sent a sentimental and heart-felt message which ensured Laura and I would get to see her show. I told Laura, who was smiling with joy about the news, so we got ready to go see Anjelah perform. It was an excellent show from start to finish. We waited until after the show for the "meet and greet" session. She remembered us and signed us an autograph and also took a photo with us. I don't think I could ever thank her enough. But to show my appreciation, I gave her a gift in return. I hope she liked it.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience. Laura calls Anjelah "The sweetest person on earth!" Which I agree with her 100 percent...we adore her and she is truly an inspirational and down-to-earth person.
Thank you Anjelah Nicole Johnson for having such a kind heart, you are truly a blessing ...one of God's Angels placed on this earth. May God bless you.
