One week old....

Time sure does fly by quick.  I can't believe Mason is a week old already.  So many things about him has changed...his facial features, skin color, his demeanor.  Son, we have been waiting 39 weeks for you and we are so happy you are finally here!

Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital - HEB

I would definitely recommend the HEB hospital to everyone. The entire staff was friendly, helpful, and very professional. Plus, the room and service were amazing.  We don't have any complaints and it seemed as if Mason enjoyed having the staff around as well.  From the prep, surgery, onto recovery, and into the post partum everyone was courteous.  I know after having a c-section, the hospital and its staff made Laura's stay a lot easier.

Mason's favorite nurse was Allyson and his favorite Tech was Angie.  All the nurses said he was the cutest baby they have seen in a while.  They also have a great nursery, NICU, and lactation department.  They also had a great security plan implemented, which I found to be very important.

Contraction, Rubber, Wheelchair

So earlier this week Laura had her first contractions.  A few weeks ago she thought she had a contraction or two, but this time she really knew they were contractions.  They were approximately 3 minutes apart and lasted 20 minutes.  The Doctor said if the contractions are about 5 minutes apart and last approximately 2 hours then we should go to the Emergency Room.  Luckily I already packed my "Oh S#!t" bags, so I'm ready if Mason wants to come early.

Something interesting occurred today, Laura found a toy ducky at Target and it was wearing a police officer uniform!  But of course there was also one wearing a fireman uniform.  I have noticed stores sell a lot of fireman and fire trucks baby and kids items....but it is very rare to see any baby/kids items which have police uniforms on them. Its made by Munchkin and it was a limited edition, so I had to get one!
